Our Top Tips For Waste Removal In West Sussex

If you have time to spare there are a couple of cheap options available to you when it comes to getting rid of your waste in the local area. Here are our top tips for disposing of domestic and commercial waste in West Sussex:

Top Tip

1

Have a look at how the West Sussex local authority can help you dispose of your waste. There are a multitude of waste disposal services on offer for the home, business and commercial purposes. The council has 11 recycling points within West Sussex based in Billingshurst, Bognor Regis, Burgess Hill, Chichester, Crawley, East Grinstead, Horsham, Littlehampton, Midhurst, Shoreham and Worthing. Each recycling point offers different waste services, for example the Chichester and Burgess Hill points will accept the full range of business and commercial waste, whereas the Crawley point only accepts recyclable. Be sure to call the site prior to rocking up with a van load of rubbish.

2

Give as much away as possible.

Yes this may initially seem a little bit far fetched while staring at a huge pile of waste sitting in front of you, however bits of old wood, metal piping, furniture… even old electrical goods still have life left in them and it could be an idea to offer these items for free to anyone who is willing to collect them.

Websites like Freecycle are dedicated to giving these types of belongings away for free to those who want or need them. You will be quite surprised to find what people will be willing to take off your hands!

Top Tip

3

Phone the experts. If filling up the vehicle several times to make endless trips to the tip, or uploading items online to give away for free is not your thing, or you simply do not have the time, then you will want to ensure that you not only hire a waste management provider to alleviate you of your rubbish, but know for sure that your rubbish is responsibly disposed of.

Always check with the Environment Agency if your waste removal provider is legally registered with them.
